Southampton Cycling Campaign Newsletter – Feb 2024

Feb & March dates for you – please join us!

🚲 Sun 3rd March – Kidical Mass Ride 10am for 10.30 depart – please offer to marshal. See https://www.facebook.com/events/1544919419637563 

🚲 Mon 11th Zoom meeting (2nd Monday of month) 7.20 for 7.30-9pm on Zoom – all welcome. 

🚲 Th 14th 5-8pm drop-in Spring Climate Gathering, at October Books https://www.facebook.com/events/7814871218540086  Co-hosted by us – please lmk if you can help out.  Bring and share food.

🚲 Sun 17th Ride (3rd Sunday of month), usually 9.45 meet-up. See: www.southamptoncyclingcampaign.org.uk/rides/  

🚲 Wed 20th AGM, social & informal meeting with 2 SCC officers.  Arrive from 5.30 for prompt start 6pm-7pm meeting 2 SCC officers; 7-8pm (bring & share) food social; 8-8.30pm AGM.  At St Denys Community Centre Priory Road, SO17 2JZ.  A good chance to find out more, so do come along with or without a question.  Please bring food (labelled clearly, especially if not vegetarian or vegan), and your own cup & tub lid/plate (then no one has to wash up at the end).

  • Members are able to join our secure email list once you have attended a meeting, or if that is an issue an active member can vouch for you.
  • Before your first meeting, please email membership@southamptoncyclingcampaign.org.uk to get the zoom link.
  • Do forward this newsletter to others who may be interested in joining, as we’d love to gain more members.

  • You can join a working group, whose coordinators communicate with the SCC officer who is coordinating the scheme/route.  After each meeting we send a list of non-scheme-specific queries to Greg at SCC (Senior Transport Planner, Green City and Infrastructure). We’re constantly working on new lists and updates – so please do come along to our next zoom meeting and listen in or join a working group.
