Sun 15th March: Ride to Upham

The next Campaign ride is to Upham, an attractive South Downs village, on Sunday 15th March.
Assemble:  Riverside Park, near Cobden Bridge from 9.45 am for a prompt 10 am departure
Route in brief:  Riverside Park, Forest Hills Drive, Cutbush Lane, cycle paths alongside the A27 and back roads to Barbe Baker Avenue, Quob Farm Close and Brookside Way to Moorgreen Rd, Burnetts Lane, Knowle Lane, Durley Rd, Church Lane, Durley St, Winters Hill, Ashton Lane and Cross Lane (or Peak Lane for the energetic!) to Upham.  Return via Upham St, Alma Lane and Greenwood Lane, joining the outbound route at Durley Rd.
Coffee and cake stop:  the Alma PH in Lower Upham
Terrain:  country roads, quiet urban roads and off-road cycle paths.  No busy roads, except to cross straight over (Botley Rd and A27).  Hilly around Upham (the clue’s in the name!)  Approx 20 miles.  Suitable for all bikes.

Weather:  unfortunately there may be some light rain.  If weather worse than expected, route may be shortened, stopping at Durley instead of Upham.

Upham is always an enjoyable ride so hope to see some of you on Sunday.
