Campaign ride: Sunday 18th February

The next Campaign ride will take place on Sunday 18th February.  This will be a fairly short (16 m) easy paced ride around some New Forest inclosures, suitable for all except complete beginners.

Meet: the Ship Inn in Old Redbridge Road from 9.45 am for a prompt 10 am start.   Parking in Old Redbridge Rd or at Redbridge Station.

Route in brief:  Redbridge Causeway, Eling, Eling Hill, Trotts Lane, Pooksgreen, straight across the Marchwood bypass into Twiggs Lane, Arters Lawn, Church Place Inclosure, Deerleap Inclosure, Ashurst.  Return via Woodlands Rd, Costicles Inclosure, Fletchwood Lane and Totton.

Coffee and cake stop:  the Happy Cheese PH in Ashurst

Terrain:  cycle paths, quiet roads, bridleway and forest tracks (gravel).  Fairly flat with the exception of Eling Hill which is steep but short.

Weather:  predicted to be dry with sunny intervals.
