Campaign ride: Saturday 19th July

COUNTRYSIDE TO COAST

Meet:  Riverside Park (behind Social Club on Manor Farm Rd) at 9.45 am for 10 am departure.  Return approx 5 pm.

Route:  via Upham to Bishop’s Waltham; a visit to Bishop’s Waltham Palace before stopping for coffee; continuing on country lanes, disused railway and bridleways, stopping to visit Titchfield Abbey and look around the pretty village of Titchfield then south to Titchfield Haven for lunch.

Return via  NCN 2 route to Warsash, Hamble ferry, Royal Victoria Country Park and Weston Shore.

Route includes cycle paths, bridleways, disused railway, country lanes and restricted byways.  Some surfaces uneven but road alternatives available.

Lunch can be purchased at the Titchfield Haven cafe or bring sandwiches if you prefer.  From previous experience, there is no objection to eating these in the cafe garden.
