Campaign Ride – Saturday 16th August

Farley Mount

Meet at Dunbridge Station at 9.45 am

This 20 mile ride uses quiet lanes, bridleways and restricted byways. The views are wonderful and you will hardly see a motor vehicle (but plenty of cyclists!) The only refreshment stop en-route is the PH at Sparshalt and this is expensive (£2.50 for a small capuccino) and busy so my suggestion is that we have a short stop at Farley Mount (15 mins) and stop for tea/coffee/ice-cream at the Kimbridge Farm shop on the way back. Bring water/lemonade etc and a snack for the stop.

Trains to Dunbridge leave Southampton Central at 9.37 am and arrive at Dunbridge at 9.56 am. You can catch the train at Parkway, Swaythling, St Denys, Millbrook and Redbridge as well as Central. Return fare is £5.70 (four can go for the price of two). Return train leaves Dunbridge just after 2 pm.

Alternatively, you can drive to Dunbridge and park at the station (free) or cycle – join others at the Chilworth Roundabout garage at 8.50 am.
