Sunday 15th December TITCHFIELD TOUR 22 miles

Meet at 9.45 am at Woolston Station for a prompt 10 am departure. Apart from a short section on the A27 from the bridge at Swanwick to Barnes Lane, this route uses quiet roads, bridleways and cycle paths; return route also uses the pink ferry from Warsash to Hamble (cost with bike £1.75). Most of the route is fairly flat, but Swanwick Bridge to Barnes Lane is fairly steep uphill and there are steep lanes in the Bursledon area. We will cycle through the pretty village of Titchfield and continue north for approximately half a mile to look at the remains of Titchfield Abbey (free). Coffee stop will be at the public house by the Abbey. Return to Woolston Station between 1.30 and 2.00 pm
