Description: Those who new Mark at the Wellington Arms have expressed a desire to comemorate him by cycling a route he used in the New Forest and have decided on next Saturday, 8th September. This ride is for ALL WHO KNEW MARK, so please spread the details widely. Apologies for the short notice, but this date suited regulars at the pub and weather forecast looks good.

RIDE IN MEMORY OF MARK Saturday 8th September

Start: Wellington Arms, Freemantle 10.30 am

Refreshments: Turf Cutters, East Boldre, approximately 12.30 pm

We will probably also stop for coffee at the Bold Forester en route.

Join us for all or part of the ride or simply join us at the Turf Cutters for refreshments. If you would like refreshments at the Turf Cutters, please let me know as the landlord has offered to provide food at a nominal price and would like a couple of days notice. However, this is not essential as we only need a rough idea, not exact numbers.

If anyone is able to assist with the ride that would be much appreciated. The route will be on cycle path out to Eling and quiet roads but there will be one or two busy roads to cross.

It is hoped that this ride will become an annual event, to take place on the Sat/Sun closest to the date of Mark’s death.
