Campaign Ride – Explore the Forest – June 4th

Title: Campaign Ride – Explore the Forest
Location: Green Park, Wimpson Lane
Description: An 18-mile ride with coffee stop at Ashurst. Ride starts at 10 am promptly and finishes at approximately 1pm.

As the planned ride on Monday will take us near the site where Mark was killed, we will make a detour and lay a tribute to Mark on behalf of all the members of Southampton Cycling Campaign. Ths seems a more appropriate response than to cancel the ride.

I hope some of you are able to make it and not all involved in family or street events. It will not be a long ride but a short section will be off-road (on a Forest cycle track) and return will be via Fletchwood Lane which is also a little “off-road” in nature – so no road bikes, please, although hybrids will be fine.
